Club Events

The National Specialty for the Irish Wolfhound Club of Canada is held once a year in a different geographical region, in Canada. Areas are divided among the regional membership boundaries, including Pacific, Mid-West, Mid-East; and Atlantic.

Dog shows are the arena in which breeders come together to have an evaluator assess their dogs. Conformation shows are taken very seriously because this event is a chance to look at the current state of the breed, and where it’s headed.
